Yeah, McInally's playoff record is a right laugh. Across one with Morton, two with East Stirling and four with Peterhead he's never successfully made it through them, and has only made it beyond the semi final three times.

Did McInally win promotion with Morton?

Think he failed to go up via play offs and then won the league the following year but may not be 100% correct with that.

Had a check after I wrote it and he did take them up as champions.

Easy to miss because they were going through managers at a great rate of knots at that time.

McInally, Irons, Grady, Moore , Shiels.......

Yeah they were a bit wild until Duffy came in and settled things for them.

Wasn't that bad

We had 7 permanent managers from 2002 to 2018 so 16 years including McInally and Duffy for 4 years, Moore 3 1/2 and cowboy 2.

Grady and Shiels were the obvious failures

Irons got 18 months.

Dougie Rae was pretty loyal to his managers unless they royally fucked it up. Even then Shiels resigned before he was bagged after the 10-2 game

It's been worse the last few years with Mckinnon, JJ, Hopkin, Anton McElone, McPherson and Imrie over the last few seasons albeit Mckinnon and Hopkin both walked.

Hopefully Imrie is here for a few seasons.

McInally's league 1 record full stop isn't great. In 6 seasons (and yes I'm including this one as we won't make the playoffs) he's only finished in the playoffs once and was actually relegated the following season in 9th after getting pumped 7-2 on aggregate by Forfar. In the only promotion playoff game we were beaten by 6-1 on aggregate.

If we can play as well as we played against Dundee then we could avoid relegation. Just need to score some goals.

This is literally what we said in the last round. We were also wrongfully handicapped by the referee for more than half of the match and only lost to a penalty.

Dundee aren't really a measure because of how rotten they are to be honest.

Just catching up on this…but Clyde are most definitely involved in this scrap at the bottom.

they have been piss poor. We turned them over pretty easily last week, and if it wasn’t for The rapist bailing them out in first have of the season they would be fighting it out with east Fife

No wins in 2022, no wins in the last 6 League matches, only a 0-0 v East Fife and a late 1-1 draw with Clyde. No goals in our last 4 games and no goals in 6 of the last 8 matches. No point playing well and not winning because that won't help. Look at Saturday. Airdrie weren't at their best but still won. Lets face it, we are bang in trouble here.

Personally, I think Clyde are safe from 10th place. They're 12 points ahead of us with 10 games to go. That in itself is a fairly big gap to overcome for a team that's been averaging 0.73 points per game so far this season.

And it's not just that points gap, but they'd need to be overtaken by four teams. I just don't see it.

We've got a hard enough job catching Peterhead even if they lose both their games in hand.

Barry Ferguson isn't very popular at Broadwood but he has been a key man for Clyde this season, helping provide them with 9 points and also an excellent goalkeeper in Neil Parry. Could well end up being decisive in keeping Clyde out of bother.

That sounds incredibly similar to us last season. Defensively pretty sound (as Peterhead are) but looking a wee bit blunt offensively. Imo we have to take something from you guys on Saturday. It's not quite a must-win, but it's definitely a must not lose. Probably for both teams. Going to be cagey as anything.

Not that Peterhead's lack of goals has been an issue against us mind you, given 8 of the Blue Toon's 29 goals this season have been against Dumbarton :(

Peterhead are our bogey team. We are Clyde's bogey team. Clyde are Alloa's bogey team. All of that is combining to not let anyone really get away.

We've only lost two league games since the start of November, and Goodwillie didn't really feature in January until he left. Not sure the maths are working for you here.

I don't disagree that we're not safe but your comment comes across like you're salty because you can't understand why we're mid-table and you're in the mud, despite your team popping us extremely easily.

We've been far from good but we're generally not easily beat, but the Dumbarton result did feel like it was coming a mile off. Good that we're back to our draw-heavy usual in a tricky game against Montrose though. Airdrie this Saturday could be fairly rough, hopefully other results go our way too.

Clyde look to be out of the zone. Alloa possibly. The Fife have picked up a bit.

It's a tough league top to bottom, and the amount of draws now being played out shows this. 23 draws in the last 50 games

It wouldn't be a surprise if the league ends roughly where the team positions are now.

Its not good to see anyone go down.

Kelty look set to win league 2, but Forfar beat them on Saturday, but still have 5 loses, and 7 draws so not exactly thumping their opponents. If Kelty keep their current form, they could go second.

Was looking at previous league tables and 38 to 40 points is usually enough to avoid the bottom two, apart from the odd season.

There has been a lot of draws this season which would suggest the points tally will be a bit lower this season.

Personally think Saturday's game against Dumbarton is the bigger of the two this week. Fail to win and we are well behind.
