Another example of Putin's tactic of murdering dangerous opponents, the very public assassination of Nemtsov just outside the Kremlin walls, the weak and pale imitation Navalny merely had his pants poisoned and was thrown in jail.

Will end poorly, as the next person who decides to chance it will make sure they do the job.

AS I recall, the response to the polnium thing was outright denial, and as for Salisbury, Putin's response was pretty much a sneery laugh.

He didn't give a sh*t about other countries'   response or opinions.

Or their civilians - Dawn Sturgess.

This is like when one of the more villainous characters in Game of Thrones gets killed off.

You feel they deserved their comeuppance, but that the overall story will suffer through their absence.

I reckon fat boy, Lukashenko will get bumped by the Wagner Group in a bit of tit-for-tat. He looks like a bumbling simpleton that never gets past the mid point of a film.

I would like to think he dies choking on his minestrone soup, or something like that. The pasta swelling to 10 times its size after it comes into contact with his digestive juices. However, that would be a much more Russian state method of dispatch rather than Wagner.

If Wagner do it, then it will probably be a less sophisticated bombing or shooting.

This has been an interesting development.

US repeats it's advice for all Americans to get out of Belarus, couple of days later the head of wagner is cut off.

Could this indicate that the US were aware of plans to take him out and that was a subtle way of letting Putin know they know?

Or was that pure coincidence?

The blocking of communications around the Wagner army would most likely be to stop them organising and making a quick retaliatory action. Someone must be shitting themselves wondering who, what and where this will be enacted upon (if enacted upon)

I reckon that’s the Wagner boys. Corralled in an army camp in a foreign country, no comms with the outside world and leaderless? And it’s amazing how unstable those munitions can get when not carefully attended to…

This was early after the initial reports of the plane going down.

I wonder if Putin will make a new offer to Wagner to join the Russian army? I assume the TS & Cs for refusing would be slightly less generous this time around

A wagner replacement perhaps.

There surely must, and I know there has been previous, less realistic talk of this before, but there must now be powerful men in the Inner circle starting to think firstly, do I need to make a move here before I end up next. Or at least, how do I prepare for the possibility that Putin can't win this war and as such loses power and position.

Lesson one in launching a coup - make sure your families are in a safe place first. That's allegedly how the Wagner march on Moscow was stopped, Putin's goons rounded up the families of Wagner officers and put guns to their heads.
