Speaking as someone who has lived for years in countries which criminalises homosexuality (officially more harshly than the UAE) I have never heard of a case of anyone being punished for it.

It's a subculture that exists barely below the surface. Some senior government employees are known to be gay, many others (especially the young) make minimal efforts in hiding it. You can't publicly be gay, nor do you need to make any serious efforts to hide it.

I'm not saying nothing bad ever happens, but the idea that gays are being hunted down and actively prosecuted is wildly inaccurate - I would suggest persecution is more likely in places like Russia and certain parts of Africa than the middle east.

And finally, pre marital sex, any relations between Muslims and non Muslims etc etc are also equally illegal, and equally not punished.

So it's a good throwaway line to criticise the UAE , but doesn't really get to the heart of the issue.

What is the heart of the issue? What is the issue?

Not this fucking thread too.

If someone can get banned from the gender thread for expressing the wrong opinion then surely spamming threads consistently with pish that derails and disrupts merits at least a yellow card.

I have the lad on ignore, but he's absolutely everywhere.

I saw this and knew some people on here would enjoy it immensely. Hopefully this happy band can achieve immortality next week by completing the treble.

They are a great side, even if they do put peoples noses out of joint cause of the Arab money.

And the cheating. Dont forget the relentless financial cheating.

Thankfully the Arabs are sharing the wealth around. I look forward to Newcastle and Man Utd and whoever else they spunk some cash on putting up a fight.

Are you gay?

N.B That question is to help put your post in context. It does not imply an offer of a date.

There are numerous reasons why the English game is enjoying a glorious spell. It is no coincidence the biggest clubs can attract the best managers. Pep Guardiola, Jürgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel have taken English teams into the Champions League with knowledge gained elsewhere of how to beat the best in Europe.

Manchester City had won a grand total of zero European trophies before the Bald Fraud was attracted there. It must have been for the fame and glamour of managing such a prestigious Big Club. 🤡

In Carney's laughable 'analysis' of why the PL is DOMINATING ALL OTHER LEAGUES, not one of the numerous reasons identified is, err, enormously distorted financial resources.

The European equivalent of the Old Firm armchair fan claiming that the rest of Scottish football's clubs just don't want to win as much as their outfit.

The competitive nature of the premier league is helping it’s teams in the champions league.
This is the league where 1 team has won 5 out of the last trophies.

I must have imagined City beating Gornik Zabre of Poland 2-1 in Vienna in 1970 to win the European Cup Winners Cup.
