Anyway, that’s me done with the Champions League again. I only had my interest peaked because I won tickets to the QF and SF at The Etihad. Back to Scotland and Rovers for me. Unless I win tickets again.

He's not going to shag you mate. He's a good player in a great team. Whilst most of the team of the season is Man City he is of course absent - Vinicius is 10x the player, even the most blinkered Grealish fan boy would admit that.

Inter managed 1.77 xg to Man City's 0.94. This was despite having an official wage bill* 70% wage bill higher and a squad that cost twice at much. People thought this would be a walkover for City - if anything it was a bit of a smash and grab. The worlds saddest fairytale.

*Of course, it is beyond all reasonable doubt they have been illegally paying their players and staff off the books for years. A classic Ibrox EBT type scandal.

I said in the premiership forum that the elite game cutting itself off from the diddies may well be a good thing. Let them run football the way they want it as one big tourist attraction and let the rest of us enjoy what’s left.

Unfortunately, that's probably exactly the reason why International football will only get weaker.  There's a growing number of people that see it as an unwelcome disruption for club football, and I expect that'll only get worse as club football continues to head down this path.  Those staunch Premier League fans in Ohio, Accra, Mumbai etc probably aren't going to be interested in anything other than their collection of highly-paid show-ponies muddling about in The Best League In The World.

I agree with you, by the way.  There's still something quite special about international games, even when we were shite.  I hope it always stays that way.

Yep, Grealish super fans seem the most blinkered in the world. Any sort of balanced view of the player gets them riled beyond belief.
