19QOS19
I keep wondering why East is always a starter. Not that I think he's rubbish, just that I never seem to see him that much on the streams I've watched. Although AJ must like what he brings to the team as he starts him most weeks, and I think SD said that he did a great job last night. That's the benefit you get from going to the games in person because you can look around the team and see what hard work the guys are doing off the ball whereas the TV cameras tend to mostly follow the ball. East did have a chance late on last night, ball sat up nice for a volley but he put it straight down the centre where Gordon was standing - if he'd gone more towards the posts we might have won that. Easy for me to say though.I'm finding that frustrating as well this season. I like to scan the park during a game and see what folk are doing off the ball. I haven't been blown away by any of our CM this season apart from the odd game and I think that's maybe why because I'm not used to just following the ball which is basically what we see as you say. East is a great example and maybe suffers more because he's out wide and doesn't go on runs. I've probably criticised Fitzpatrick more but he gets praise every now and again as he's a threat going forward and will take the ball a run at times. We don't see that from East. If we were at the games we could probably get a fairer idea of the defensive work he does.

I hadn't been paying that close attention to it but having just looked I think the position is that Hearts have played 8 away games. Televised: 23/10 Arbroath, 20/11 Dunfermline, 2/1 Dundee, 5/2 Ayr United, 12/2 QoS Not televised: 5/12 Morton, 16/1 Alloa, 326/1 Raith Rovers They have 5 more to go. Inverness on 26/2 is scheduled for tv. Beyond that they have return visits to Arbroath, Dunfermline, Morton and Raith which lie beyond the tv selections so far but they can't get more than 10 at most even if every game was picked.

I show that they have been on TV 5 times, scheduled for number 6 on 27/2. Raith vs Hearts 19/12 was cancelled and rescheduled to a Tuesday and not shown, Alloa and Morton vs Hearts didn’t make the TV either. That leaves 4 matches...so you’ve won it. What’s the charity to be? To be honest, I had a sheet showing the Raith game in the count as cancelled and not played without TV yet, my oversight.

I was checking back through the thread for something else and stumbled across it. I actually thought it was still alive until I checked it. I remembered Raith and Morton werent live. I'd forgotten Alloa wasnt. Send it where you like. Give it to a Kirkcaldy Foodbank as you were going to do if you won. Cheers.

Not a chance, Gibson was an absolutely fantastic winger for us under Jim McIntyre, so much so he ended up moving for 100k+ to Crawley Town, was during a period when absolutely no one was moving for money so it's a solid indication that he was playing pretty well! Ended up nearly derailing our promotion that season, Graham and Cardle were good but Gibson was on another level for a good 12 months. He'd even started becoming a bit of a free kick specialist.

Not remotely bothered about a name. Just give them the cash. If it needs a name give your own. Its your money.
ALOREBURNE
Rumours of a Covid breach involving 3 rangers players circulating and one of the names mentioned is Mebude. Let’s hope it’s just a rumour.

Rouky
If true about Mebude, best thing would be to send him back to Rangers, otherwise this and the Galloway incident would show the club up in a very bad light.
Priti priti priti Patel
I will be the voice of dissent here because I think actually we should keep hold of him. I can't blame an 19 year old for behaving stupidly since it's part and parcel of being 19. No doubt he will have to self-isolate for a couple of weeks and we will want to get in a replacement for that time. We will also want Rangers to ensure we are not out of pocket. If there's another loan player available who is better, then by all means take the opportunity to cancel Mebude's loan without burning a bridge at Rangers. But otherwise I would choose to let Rangers discipline the boy how they think fit, and us continue to benefit from someone who looks a player based on Friday's performance. Appreciate others will feel differently given how much we are all sacrificing during covid, but for me there's no urge to punish the boy or worry that it puts our club in a bad light. Edited February 15, 2021 by Margaret Thatcher he's 19 no 18, but same goes

The last Rangers players who broke the rules got a seven game ban. If Mebude is involved, he will presumably miss the ICT game. So, that would be 8 games, meaning he could play in a maximum of 4.

I had a look earlier and couldn't see anything about bans by the SPFL. I didn't read the articles about them being suspended by their club, if that's what it was. Obviously it will depend on the circumstances but the time any player involved is unavailable may be out of their club’s hands. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55004563
