To be fair blanking the media worked for Boris

Actually it didn’t.  Running from the media is a short term strategy that eventually catches up with you.

Shat it imo.  Anything not preset and she’s going to be shown up for the idiot that she is.

She's actually going to make Keir look capable and normal which to be fair to her is some effort.

The Tories must be thinking here's what you could have won with Tugendhat and Hunt both of whom would probably have secured 10 more years of Tory rule.

Truss got a pretty meagre vote from the MPs and some of the Tory bigwigs (including mad solo dancer Gove) have been making a last ditch attempt to slag her off and boost Sunak. They know what a disaster she'll be.

I think the party membership will put her in, they aren't great at choosing a prime minister

It would be the biggest shock just about ever for the pollsters if she doesn't. Most of the votes are already in, so she could probably spit on a school child live on TV and still win.

Wouldn't be that big a suprise of the right wing press, they clambered to defend someone who drove their car into folk wanting British homes to be insulated.

This should be of real cause for concern. On one hand, we have seen and heard a lot from Truss, but on the other, it's all been in a fairly safe and controlled setting, even if by various broadcasters.

If the next prime minister hides from scrutiny, its not going to end well.

Of great concern is that if, as appears the case, the Tories have very little chance of being reelected and they recognise it, what selfish, self monetising acts/decisions will be made in the next 2 years? None of the senior Tory MP's will ever get near government again, so why act in the public interest?

Granted Truss appears to be a shoe in so has nothing to gain by facing Robinson, similar to Johnson with Neil, but it's absolute fucking shitebag behaviour for an aspiring PM and she should be called out on it on a regular basis.

And she’s still made a total c**t of herself.

And that in itself should be a worry. Internationally she is seen as weak. Think back to the clips of May being snubbed in Brussles and Johnson snubbed by other World leaders, Truss will get much worse.

To compensate, she will try to talk tough, make an arse of it and get the UK in some right mess.

If Johnson was the circus Clown, Truss is the one eyed mute, who was only trusted to sweep out the shite from the lions cage.

The LBC debate night thing is painful, seeing the clips come up and Truss says smart motorways have been a failure, I wonder how much that cost the taxpayer and if Shapps will return to government in her cabinet?
