Lord Frost's nobody to talk, he negotiated the Northern Ireland Protocol and failed miserably at trying to change it after it was signed. Looks like the ERG are going full tilt behind Truss which won't necessarily help her.

They need to get Truss above HMS Pinafore sharpish. So hopefully we'll get some more very public bloodletting.

Not so sure. The Home Office is ungovernable and the stated and popular amongst tories policy are unconscionable and unachievable.

Patel seems content to take the flack for not delivering fast or evil enough and for being a venal evil stone hearted hell beast of Satan. In fact I'm pretty sure she gets off on it. 

So the smart move would be to keep her there absorbing the criticism and not delivering on policies she can't actually deliver.

It was suggested she would tilt to Truss or Zahawi. Given Zahawi is oot, it'll be Truss. She'll be hoping to stay at the Home Office I imagine, where she can deliver punishment to the most vulnerable.

The final straw for some might have been sending in the Navy to the channel as a publicity stunt only for them to be forced to act as a taxi service for asylum seekers. She was warned that would happen, the law of the sea means they have to rescue people in unsafe crafts.
