Bit late to the party but here's how the first qualifying round went down:

Big result for Sammarinese club Tre Fiori over against Fola Esch from a Luxembourger league that's made massive strides in recent seasons.

Didn't have any bearing on the outcome of tie overall but Inter Club d'Escaldes from Andorra drawing with Romanians CFR Cluj is a good result for them.

Linfield pass up chance after chance to seal the game including a 4-on-1 breakaway, fluff the shot and then end up cunting the ball into their own net to send it to pens

Twice I've watched them this season and twice they've fucked it.

ETA: and oot!

lol, Savage was so convinced that there was a foul in the build up to the Alkmaar goal.

It was one of those “you’d sometimes see them given” soft and could go either way.

As they said though, there was plenty of time between that and the goal for West Ham to defend.

I like that West Ham are taking this competition seriously and really want to try and win it.

I can’t help but laugh at teams like Spurs in the past who have won f**k all for years, but their fans think they are too good for the competition.
