Yeah, but what scares me is that if the ideologues in government want something badly enough, they'll dress it up as a 'great british public wants' issue. So all they'll have to do is flannel and lie their way into convincing enough morons to vote for it and it will happen regardless of what MP's think A good number of Westminster MP's were sceptical of Brexit, but then the 'great' british public voted for it, it ended a PM, trying to enact it cost another one her job, the sceptics who tried to either temper it or enact it in some sort of sane way ended up out of jobs and careers, and the few fucking fruitcakes who were always driving it now have complete control of the country. Never, ever underestimate the 'great british public's ability to make monumentally stupid decisions out of sheer fucking ignorance.
tamthebam
Possibly But the only country in Europe to still have the death penalty is tinpot dictator Luka's Belarus Even Putin's Russia doesn't have it (thanks to drunken Boris. And Vlad just does away with folk unofficially)

Take the trade away from the dealers through legalisation / controlled supply of cannabis and there's suddenly no need for users to be put in touch with the contacts they currently need, ultimately reducing access to (and therefore use of) the 'harder stuff'.

Russia, Belarus, and who else might that description fit? Edited October 10, 2022 by Boo Khaki
Granny Danger
Why haven’t Truss’s parents publicly disowned her?

This is one of the worst things about Truss, in that she wasn't indoctrinated by a right-leaning family group. Instead, she saw what life was like in red wall constituencies (as she loves to tell us) and then actively chose to f*** them over for the purposes of career progression and personal gain. A truly abhorrent, detestable individual.

Cannabis should be legalised and the tax from it would be a welcome and considerable boost to public services. - feel a bit mixed about this, ive visited LA and Vancouver since it became legalised or whatever the status is and walking down the streets with folk blowing cannabis smoke out and main streets stinking of cannabis is highly off putting, if it was legalised in a privacy of yer own home or cannabis cafe way then I could get behind it in a way to get it up the ocg’s and fund mental health treatment for cannabis psychosis. I would say that to stop ocg’s profiting then any person able to sell it should be thoroughly regulated by a licensing authority.

I think if we made shoes more expensive for working people and then made shoes cheaper for bankers and russian oligarchs then you could be on to a winner. We could even degrade the quality of the expensive shoes over time and then blame the people wearing the shoes for their shoes wearing out?
