There is only 1 matchup between 2 winnings teams in week 8…….and as expected it’s the Giants Vs Seahawks!

The game in Seattle is probably the game of the week with the Rams Vs 49ers maybe 2nd best. Packers have been awful of late so can’t really say their visit to Buffalo will be exciting.

Green Bay have never won in Buffalo in a regular season match.

At first that stat seems weird..

Then you think ah they only play each other in Buffalo once every 8 years at the moment (not sure what cross conference frequency was pre-2002 alignment)...

But then you think "hang on, GB have had Favre and Rodgers for the past 30 years"

But no, Favre was 0-3 and Rodgers is 0-1.

It's also the first time in his NFL career Rodgers has been a double-digit underdog.

When it was the old 5 team divisions you only played four opponents in your cross-conference games every year, so it was theoretically possible to never encounter an opponent. Chargers didn't play the Redskins between '89 and '98, and didn't see the Lions between '84 and '96

The fact there was one 4 team division meant that you saw really odd schedules from time to time. I remember one year in the mid 90's the Redskins and Bucs played each other both home and away in the same season despite being in different NFC divisions. I'd imagine that came about because one of them played the 4 team AFC Central but only had 3 cross-conference games due to playing in a 5 team division themselves, and the other played the 4 team NFC West. There were no doubt other quirks, but that's the one that sticks in my mind.

Sky have gone with Pats @ Jets and Niners @ Rams. Probably not too much of a surprise I guess.

Already looking forward to extreme disappointment on Sunday night with my Niners as always :)

Couple of new records for Tom.

It's apparently the first time in his career that he has ever been 2 games below .500.

He is now the most sacked QB in NFL history. It was very funny that he equalled the record on one play, then broke it on the next.
