That's exactly what happened, both players went for the ball and Gordon clearly got there first, I hope he was being sarcastic saying Gordon should've been off.

I haven't seen it, but winning the ball doesn't automatically mean it's not a foul. It's literally decades since the laws of fitba changed on this.
