Do Morton fans give mcGinty pelters purely because he wasn't very good for them and winding him up might mean a mistake or five? Otherwise, I can't get my head around it. Teams up and down the country year in year out have players who don't cut it there. It's not his fault he had shit coaches at Thistle and Morton (and Ayr for a while), and it's not his fault Bullen has managed to coach him into being a serviceable CB at this level. Plus he's a good guy. Losing the rag over guys like McGinty on a cold Tuesday night in Greenock is baffling behaviour to me, but here we are. Any time I've seen Morton on the telly or in highlights videos I'm sure I've seen Grimshaw in midfield and the boy McGrattan playing and have been really impressed with both, is Imrie trying to shoe horn in latterly signed players? Can't speak for others but I'm pretty convinced McGinty got himself sent off for us in the last game of the season a few years back when both of us and Arbroath were fighting to stay up and both needed a win. He had of course signed/agreed a pre contract with Ayr so would naturally want you lot to stay in the division over us. Can never prove it of course and it could be absolutely pish but it was the most ridiculous challenge on the half way line and there was no reason for him to do it. Thankfully we won the playoffs anyway, but interestingly he never played any further part in the playoffs after serving the suspension, despite playing almost every game previous, he sat on the bench for the final 2 games. On your last point, aye pretty much. Ali Crawford was coming off the bench at St Johnstone most weeks so Dougie has probably promised him starts with us to get him here. He is naturally going to try and fit in his new signings like most managers do. Grimshaw has played full back most of the season and been brilliant but stepped into midfield when Gillespie got injured and was brilliant in there too. We've had a balanced team the last few months with Quitongo and Mcgrattan providing pace, a threat going forward and defensive cover but Dougie has changed things to accommodate Muirhead and Oakley the last few games and it just doesn't work as well. Having those two up there just encourages long ball after long ball and the one thing McGinty can do well is head a ball I think we will see a different shape and line up on Saturday. Hopefully Quitongo is back, badly missed.
Dunning1874
McGinty has every right to give it back to Morton fans when he scores regardless of Morton fans being correct about [redacted for legal reasons], I also couldn't care less about Imrie playing to the gallery over it in return.

I do hope McGrattan gets a starting place as we seem to win most games when he's in the team.
GiGi
McGinty down feigning concussion, before bounding to his feet and sprinting up the park was a laugh. Just well beaten in the end with a fairly horrendous home performance. Hopefully a one off and back to business on Sat.

His team won the game, go over and applaud your own fans, it's as simple as that. Honestly a bit of sarcastic applause from players to fans who've been shouting pelters at them all game is entirely understandable. Football needs shit-housing like this. When opposition players do it at Somerset do I get seething? Yes but I wouldn't have it any other way. Especially in those moments where it backfires.

I'm not really against "if you give it out expect it back" type thing - that's football. McGinty gave it big licks after he scored, fair enough. The final whistle had gone and he was over sarcastically applauding the Morton fans as his own team's supporters where at the other end of the park. AS Dougie walked past him to applaud his teams fans he looked as if he said away and applaud your own fans and stop acting like a pure knob. I don't have a problem with that either

Always liked Robbie. He has no reason to be respectful like that towards Ayr fans though
Paisley Ton
I am all done with this PC shit. The team currently paying your wages is the team and fans you play for. When you score, celebrate with your team mates and your current supporters. When you get a bit of flack from the opposition your entitled to milk any goal you score.

Jives Miguel
I've heard some VERY interesting pieces of information surrounding McGinty's red card in his last game for Morton in a crucial game against Arbroath. If Dougie's been party to the same information, I cant blame him for the way he acted last night. Deserved everything he got.
