jagfox
Another opponenent we have struggled against this season, home and away. Our chances of a win could come down to who is available to play or even come off the bench. We totally lacked a cutting edge versus Hamilton. Accies certainly seem on a better run of recent form than Cove who have shipped a ton of goals recently. Will the mystery loan target arrive?Β We'll probably not know until midweekΒ Can't say I'm too enthused about this at the moment as I feel we have little chance of 1st or 2nd place and 3rd and 4th especially, has historically little chance of promotion. ptfc. 22
We might win if we have our 1 decent striker back. Any if yous know who the loan could be?Β

CoveRangers1922
January has been nothing short of a complete and utter disaster for Cove. Going into the window we were in reasonable shape and we're competitive in all games with a stable squad and formation. Since the window opened we've been infected by whatever the Dons had/still have. Hemorrhaging goals at a rate of knots, 19 in the last 4 games as well as sacking our manager and bringing in Hartley, taking in 6 new players, 4 players recalled (3 of which were outstanding for us) and 4 players left either on loan or released. Everything is up in the air. We don't know our arse from our elbow and it needs to change rapidly or else it will all get messy very quickly. Not many will back us to take anything from our trip to Firhill and Thistle will rightly be favourites to pick up a win even after a disappointing defeat to an Accies side trying to climb away from the bottom spot. Prior to the game with Thistle, we have Ayr in the Cup on Tuesday night. A chance for redemption if you are an optimist or re-run of the battering of a few days ago if you're a glass half empty type. I've never seen such disarray in the second half. Granted Ayr scored some cracking goals. We desperately need a quality target man and CB on loan to strengthen the spine and we need some confidence restored. Only way we do the latter is by picking up points. Without an away win all season in the league and I doubt it comes here. I'd take a point even it meant Sneddon scoring in the 95th again. Fuctifano
I don't like playing up to clichΓ©s but Cove have lost something like 174 goals in their last 6 games so if we can't beat them at this point then they officially fall into bogey team categoryΒ

ETA:Β Quote Cove were reduced to 10 men early in the second half when Mitch Megginson was a yellow card, then a red, in a minute for a dissent. From BBC Report. So he will be available to score the winner in a 1-0 shitfest on Saturday. Edited February 1, 2023 by jagfox

However, given it was likely for foul language it'll be a one game ban in the competition.Β

Fuctifano
Docherty definitely looked as if he dislocated his shoulder last week. Would expect McKinnon for Hodson, Lawless for Docherty (with Turner moving back into the middle) and Graham for Mullen from last week's team.Β Edited February 3, 2023 by Fuctifano
