Could've been worse. That was around the time they were scrabbling about to find a job for Malky Mackay. Edit: wonder what's gone wrong with Denmark - they really aren't the side they were a few years back. Finland pretty comfortable so far and have looked slightly more likely to score in a game that looks to have 0-0 written all over it. Possibly explains why Wales had that purple patch, though.
Richey Edwards
Flick has been the first ever Germany manager to be sacked. What a history maker.
BFTD
Denmark with a late goal. Finland have sat back more in the second half and looked happy to get the point, which would've set them up nicely for a top two finish. Denmark weren't exactly battering on the door, but playing for a draw is a dangerous game. More of a relief for the Danes than disappointment for Finland though, I'd have thought. Edit: bollocks to Ireland - Albania v Poland looks like the most interesting tie tonight. That's a bunch of flares on the pitch within a minute of kick off. Zetterlund
Some suicidal defending here from the Netherlands who are lucky not to be behind. Poor Irish finishing letting them off the hook so far.

Poland going from one up to one down after VAR ruling out their goal. Some atmosphere in Tirana; proper Turkiye levels of intimidation. Poland in a bit of trouble in what looks to be the easiest group, when you see some of the results. Edit: Moldova might end up cursing that late equaliser by the Faeroes. Edit 2: it was mentioned earlier that Albania have never beaten Poland, so this would be a big result for them in a few ways. Edit 3: The BBC were reporting a late Faeroes equaliser against Moldova, and a final score of 1-1. Wonder what that was all about. Melanius Mullarkey
Apropos of nothing but I always thought Wurth made frankfurter/hotdogs. Turns out they’re a German Screwfix. Spoiler

qos_75
Sadly it looks like Kenny will get the bullet in the not too distant future. I liked the fact that they hired a man that found the Scottish Championship to be beyond his capabilities. There was something reassuring about the fact that absolute jobbers like James McLean still got picked for them.

Can't help but think it doesn't matter how good we are, we will never win a trophy. Too many variables. Location, weather, referees, injuries, pure bad luck, retaining manager, France, etc. I hope I'm proved wrong. Hmm, location should be ok , this time. Weather too. VAR will help with referees. All teams suffer injury probs. Luck seems to be running our way. Clarke won't go to Rangers. Our record v France is 8 each. OK, we'll win it. I’m not saying I expect Scotland to win the euros but we should absolutely be considered dark horses and lumped in with the likes of Switzerland and Denmark who would be the pick to win it outwith the traditional big 7 and the other 2 countries who’ve forced their way into the elite conversation in recent years (Belgium and Croatia) 80/1 on Paddy Power. Worth a tenner each way for me.
