Well we've played with an outfield player in goal and after today we may well have seen a goalie playing outfield at Somerset too. Saying that Robbie Thomson up front probably wouldn't be any worse than Akio or McBride. There isn’t a rule against listing two keepers on the bench, is there? Wonder why no McNeil?

I wondered the same. He's here and taking part in the warm-up, seems like you'd have him stripped just on the off chance you do need to sub your goalkeeper twice (or you want to give him a run out at right back after our inevitable second injury by the eighteenth minute).

AUFC 1910
This team need a fucking rocket up their arse. Absolute turgid shite on offer yet again in a must win game against a side strung together with cello tape and plasters

It's been like a training game, where the main objective is just for nobody to get injured. I imagine it's going to continue in this fashion until sooner or later Akinyemi scores. It hasn't come to much so far, but you can see Masson is struggling to deal with him. And that's no shade on Masson, he's hardly the first defender in the Championship to have this issue, and it must only be his second or third start at centre half. Edit: As I sent that, Akinyemi mugged off Dick only to be stopped by a brilliant tackle by Masson. If anything - it seems like Raith have a slighter better tempo which is obviously unforgivable in the circumstances.

There's a wee pocket on our right hand side, a sort of Millen-Brown-Ross axis of tidy players who can knock it about amongst themselves but outside of that we're relying on someone/anyone winning the ball in midfield and then running 50 yards and putting it in the goal. A couple have had a go at it, McBride got surprisingly far and got a corner out of it, but Ayr's strategy of just having Akinyemi and hoping he somehow scores seems more promising.
Coollestersmoothe
I’d like to post something positive on here one day. But my word this is rank. The best bit so far has been watching the steaming raith fan bam folk up as they go for a pish.

It doesn’t seem to work will quite as well at home… Im on a stream so can’t be totally sure - but that missed chance sums up Ashford for the horrific footballer player that he is.
AUFC 1910
Typical end of the season (last quarter) stuff from Ayr. We somehow seem to be back at this position where the players look like they are simply going through the motions - and bad ones at that. They clearly either don’t give a shit, or are really not that good. That display so far has not been a team on the verge of playoffs and looking to secure their place in them.
No_Problemo
Mind numbing pish for another twenty minutes, until Bullen eventually decides that O’Connor might liven stuff up a little - by which point we’ll eventually look dangerous but it’ll be too late. Just bring him on now.
