1st attempt at a penalty or second, we really don’t care

I know he got the second v St J but really his last two attempts have basically been utter guff - Kettlewell should fire him up at 2.59pm tomorrow by telling him Mandron is now on penalty duty...

Clue me in folks…..what records are broken or even equalled if KVV scores again today? First Motherwell player to score in 9 games in a row? Must be getting near a league record as well?

From Twitter:

The first Motherwell player for 86 years to score in 8 consecutive games. Hugh Ferguson, 1919-20, 16 goals in the first 10 games of the season. Duncan Ogilvie, 1937-38, 12 goals, 9 games. King Kevin van Veen, 2022-23, 11 goals in 8 games.

Just to add to @Handsome_Devils point, if he scores today he breaks the SPFL premiership/SPL premier league consecutive goal scoring record. He is currently level with Craig Dargo for ICT in 2006.

Amazing. Not just in achievement but that it wouldn’t be a Rangers or Celtic player that he would be taking this from. To do it for provincial clubs is MUCH more impressive.

County going 352.

Watson in for Simms, so Randall goes to RWB, with Watson behind him.

Kenneh a straight swap for Cancola, to partner Loturi in the middle.

Loturi was a bit off it last week imo, he's got a job on his hands keeping Spittal quiet today.

Harmon to score from a Dhanda assist, 0-1 County 🤞🦌

Relatively tame first half. Feels like those early Legaue cup games or a friendly.

Im surprised that there hasn't been that much of an attacking threat from Ross County especially with their current situation.

County have been prone to some horrible defence clusterfucks this season, even when performing quite well in matches, so keeping it tight in the 1st half then changing it up as the game progresses is probably what Mackay is going with.

Imo it's been pretty even, both team have had opportunities but 0-0 is fair at HT.

It looks like the sort of afternoon both teams are happy(ish) with a point.

Let’s call it a draw and take an early dinner.   I think County would be over the moon with a 0-0.
