Clyde Season 23/24

A specialist full-back! Wow!

I anticipate that we will hear from QOS fans that Houston is shite, but then they'd the same to say of John Rankin so I think we can just wait and see. If he's got pace then that's half the battle.

On paper, Houston’s exactly what we’re needing. Got plenty experience at a decent level, quick and young enough that’s he’s not an over-the-hill has been. If we could get a left-footed equivalent on the other side, I’d be absolutely delighted.

Definitely getting a good write up from what I see, just had a few injury problems, hopefully over them now 🙏

Be lying if I said he was. Think that's a cracking signing for Clyde tbh. I can only assume he's planning his life outside football now as I'd have taken him back FT happily. That or the injuries are better suited to PT football.

If he stays fit he should absolutely breeze it in L2 as IMO he was pretty solid for us. No idea why Bartley kept him out the side, particularly when more often than not his replacement was pretty shit.

I hope it works out for him and he stays fit because he was never lacking in effort tbh and given how shite we were last season he was never close to being one of our worst performers.

I do not recognise this football player.

Don't even think about it McCall.

I can’t wait for another year of Lyon struggling to beat the first man with his cross, whilst Houston runs about clogging people in the centre of midfield!

Aww ffs, Lyons is not a fucking league winning player. Hope he's squad player. Has no crossing ability and his standard is "did he make a c**t of it and cost us a goal?" Oh he must've played well then

He has come on leaps and bounds since McColl took the reins.  He will be a major player for us next season.  Now I want to hear that Liam Scullion has put pen to paper.

That's a very good mix of starters and versatile squad players signed up.  Addition of Houston sounds promising although I can't say I know too much about him.  All in, as far as starts to transfer dealings go, that's more than a little encouraging.

Great start, now for the hard work, next task is to try to get the additional, proper quality required to make a real push this season.  Not easy as we will be competing for the small number of players who can make the difference at this level.
Players signed now who go straight into starting 11 as that’s the bulk of the basic squad sorted. Obviously kinnear and especially Hamilton (extension) signing is brilliant news.

2 Centre forwards, 2 midfielders and possibly defender. A winger with delivery would be nice. Team needs a bit of steel too.
As I say not easy task, but well done to the club for facilitating the early re-signing spree.
