Elon Musk: Voting for Trump ‘only way’ to ‘save’ democracy

I remember when people would post stuff on other threads about clever stuff being done by Musk or one of his companies.   Seems like a long time ago now.  Hero to zero.

Imagine being an undecided then seeing Trump claim that very few people know what a phone app is other than very intelligent immigrants.

On a separate note Trump will be one of Vance’s proxies in the spin room after the VP debate.

That’s great news for the Democrats because if/when Vance says something stupid/controversial the person the media will run too to get an interpretation will be Trump.

He is so egotistical and desperate to be the centre of attention no one can tell him that this is not a good idea.

What's worse is that most of that stuff turned out to be utter w**k. He's not an inventor, like people used to claim, and he's no interest in accomplishing most of what he was feted for supposedly trying to do.

Turns out that his priorities are:

  1. Consolidate power
  2. Feed ego
  3. Get the hell off the planet before climate change makes life intolerable

Those aren’t his priorities.  Not even close.

VP debate going as expected. Vance seems a bit slimy, but he’s a solid debater…Walz is a poorer debater, but seems well prepared. Walz is doing well to project a dad vibe, while Vance seems a bit like a Used Car Salesman.

The lovely bit will be Trump’s comments afterwards…expect some wild takes on Truth Social.

Anyone going near Truth Social or Twitter for that matter needs help.

After a couple of rounds of first Trump and then Harris leading their opponent up the garden path to look like a decrepit mentalist, it seems like thd VP debate was more of an appeal to uncommitteds. Vance had a bit of an advantage in that he can point to current problems as the Dems fault and the fact that Trump was president before and actually it was fairly run of the mill. He was at a massive disadvantage though as he can't say outright January 6th was bad.

Vance got the better of that , but it’s hard to think the VP debate matters.

Yeah, even if you look at the ones where there was a big controversial moment, like:

"You are no Jack Kennedy"

HW being a dick about Iran and Lebanon

More often than not the candidate who comes out looking worse ends up in the VP seat. Not really that consequential

Pretty sure Sturgeon and Dugdale plus others went over to campaign for Hillary in 2016.

The most important election in global history. Even more important than the last most important one, but not as important as the next one will be.
