norwichbobby
Looking forward to a reverse fixture with Rutherglen after our Scottish encounter. Whilst not a home tie it’s good to get games against opponents you dont play very often.

HibeeJibee
Pollok 6-2 Camelon Heavy defeat opens weekend although it always looked a tall order at tier 6 high-flyers. Managing to get 8 or more clubs through tomorrow would probably exceed expectations.

Managing to get 8 or more clubs through tomorrow would probably exceed expectations. Was a plucky effort by Camelon. They actually knocked the ball around quite well and when they pulled it back to 2-1, looked like they might make a game of it as they had possession and confidence. But Pollok stepped up, got a cracking goal, were given a gift and at 4-1, the game was done by halftime. Two early second half goals by Pollok let them ease off and again, Camelon got a bit more of the ball, but weren't as effective with it. Got themselves probably a deserved further consolation goal. Scoreline was heavy, but Camelon did alright - as probably expected, Pollok were just better!
AUcal
Aye, Camelon took their goals well and there was a wee point after they pulled 1 back at 2-1 were it looked like they might be capable of getting a foothold in the game. Pollok were very clinical though and took the opportunities well. Weird game tbh, Pollok definitely deserved to win but it didn't feel like a 6-2 - very good finishing from Pollok and Camelon were unlucky that it seemed every mistake they made was punished. Some more interesting ties today. Think I'll head to either Jeanfield or Linlithgow. Edited October 14, 2023 by AuAl

The level we aspire to get too. We go again next game.
patriot1
Ardrossan 2 St Andrews 3 Despite the score line it was a comfortable win. We had a mad minute midway through the first half where we had a penalty saved and Rovers went up the park and scored. However two goals in a minute at the end of the half plus a 25 yard screamer early in the second was enough to see us into the last 32. It was only their goalkeeper who kept them in the game.
Josuke Higashikata
Jeanfield 1, Largs 1. (4-5 on penalties) Returning from a good day away I. Perth. Largs went ahead through a Sewell penalty, before Jeanfield scored a penalty of their own. No changes in extra time as Jeanfield pressured and bounced back well. But Largs persevered on sudden death penalties. More than a few scary moments. All the best to Jeanfield. A great venue and strong side who are rightly near the top of the table. We need another trip in the cup next round.

It could have been greater as Dundonald, Jeanfield and Penicuik all lost narrowly, while Kirkcaldy & Dysart crashed out heavily. Musselburgh pulled of a shock beating Berwick, but the less said about that the better... result of the day goes to Thornton who blew away St Rochs. Credit to Dunbar, Leith and St Andrews for good wins. Broxburn seem to have laboured and Whitehill put up a terrific fight. Missed chances without 5 starters including all the normal midfield 3. To be fair Lesmahagow were better than expected and were pretty clinical with there chances. However, it looks like two different teams this year with Talbot struggling and Broxburn going well (reverse of last year). Will be an extremely difficult game but as you say an attractive one
