Michael W
Besides the fact that's as clear a handball as you're going to see, what is the point in VAR if that is just going to be ignored? There is no excuse for it. Another apology from Howard Webb pending.

Musketeer Gripweed
Neville and Carragher reaching New depths giggling like school girls when a player goes down injured. Any chance they could give us an option not to have to listen to their inane drivel.
Mark Connolly
Just as well Arsenal got rid of Tierney to accommodate Zinchenko

What a bizarre decision from Arteta, I don't watch much of the #barclays self proclaimed best league in the world but Zinchenko has been mince this game.
Bairnardo
Can only echo the comments re the Odegaard incident. An absolutely wild call from a ref on the pitch, but with the benefit of VAR it's borderline criminal
Musketeer Gripweed
Odegaard was slipping though, so it was no penalty. Not even close to one.

The difference is that John Stones is a natural defender and risk averse. Red Kite
I miss the old front two, when I watch games like that. No goalscorer to kill the game off. That Anfield surface looks shocking. I'm speculating wildly that all these new stands are blocking out the L4 light....

I don't think I've mentioned it before, but imo this neck of the woods has some of worst football opinions I've ever seen. Get fitba tae f**k It’s a honking decision, but I do have a bit of sympathy with the ref in that the Bournemouth player also had me thinking on first viewing that he’d been caught. As it turns out he’s a diving wee fanny. I don’t know if play acting is getting worse this season or if my tolerance for it has just dropped.
eez-eh
That was an excellent pass from the “horrendous” Alexander-Arnold for Liverpool’s goal. Edited December 24, 2023 by eez-eh

It’s funny, as much as he has his faults at times - he was good yesterday. Zinchenko was stinking, however.
