Raven
In case anyone missed it today... Jacob Brown is a premier league matchwinning goalscorer.

They were both fouls IMO but the Arsenal one wasn't given on field so wasn't overturned and the one today was (I think?) and wasn't overturned the other way. What was bizarre was the VAR audio of the Arsenal one where they said Gabriel was already moving forward, as if that has some sort of bearing on things.

Ramsdale will get the blame but what's the point in an outfield player taking a goal kick then playing it back to the keeper inside the 6 yard box? Come on now. He missed the ball when he tried to kick it.

I thought they were both fouls. If McTominay's 'goal' in Spain was a foul then the one on Allison was a definite

Means that the opposition will press and you'll still have the ball centrally to play either way as opposed to it being with a CB on one side which makes it easier to cut off angles.

jagfox
Sad to hear, Sir Terence of Venables has passed away.
Joey Jo Jo Junior Shabadoo
By the way. What a manager he was.
eindhovendee
Why does this VAR check take so long? It's either on or off.
peasy23
Been a fairly manic first half hour so at Spurs. Quite enjoyable.
accies1874
Villa have been pretty crap but their high line and McGinn's positioning are working quite well. Think Spurs have it in them to exploit the former though.
peasy23
Superb touch and finish by Ollie Watkins to put Villa ahead.
buchan30
Big Mcginn basically twerking against the spurs keeper at that corner.
senorsoupe
Great goalkeeping by Martinez to keep it 2-1
Comrie
Spurs/Villa is a seriously decent game.
DrewDon
I would imagine there will be an unparalleled amount of coughing, mumbling and “mate” in Postecoglou’s post-matcher if Villa hold on here.
senorsoupe
That should have been 3-1, great work by McGinn but Watkins should have scored
senorsoupe
Tottenham under Ange Postecoglu is going pretty much the way I expected Tottenham under Ange Postecoglu to go. Exciting football, but concede a lot of goals and can't hold leads. Good fun to watch, but they likely won't win any silverware
AMMjag
You simply can't come into our league, expect to play how Postecoglou wants to play and get away with it.
accies1874
Much improved from Villa after the half-time subs, Tielemans in particular. For the first time in a wee while, McGinn's been much better for his club than his country. It's great to see him playing under an excellent manager who's willing to and capable of getting the best out of him.
