HibeeJibee
Bad week in cups for Bo'ness Athletic: ejected from King Cup for cup-tied player v Leith, then beaten in League Cup at Newtongrange. They'll hope for better in shootout for Scottish Cup place:
HibeeJibee
Armadale had a scare but ultimately won. Thornton look to reel-in Bo'ness Athletic.. Edinburgh South to reel-in Armadale... down the bottom Ormiston to reel-in Tweedmouth... but Newburgh are teetering. Run-in:

Was surprised to see Newburgh bottom of the league as they were a decent outfit but Armadale deserved their win in the end.

We played newburgh a few weeks ago and I think the way the manager was talking he hadn't been their long and it's improving all the time

HibeeJibee
No time for BA to dwell on their consecutive promotion success - as they face arguably the biggest 2 single games in their history this week. Remember draws go to penalties for 1pt bonus. First up:

HibeeJibee
I saw Tweedmouth deservedly land a surprise win over Armadale earlier - that leaves Thistle in deep trouble with Thornton up next and Edinburgh South bearing down. Rangers recent fine run leaves 'battle royal' for deinsurance place, but Ormiston struggling.
Cowdenleith
Was at the Ormiston v Burntisland game today, apparently a punch up of some sort at half time in the Ormiston changing room with them 3-0 behind at the break, one of the Primrose staff came out the changing area shouting about it Seemed to fire up the home team as they passed up many chances second half, got one back, but then another goalie mistake (he had a few) sealed the game for Shipyard at 4-1.

A similar thing happened at an Edinburgh City game back in EOSL days. Goalkeeping coach had a disagreement with a defender at half time and booted him one. The Coach left the ground never to be seen again and the defender had to be subbed injured for the second half.

In what looks to be the biggest deduction in the 100 year history of the East of Scotland League, it seems they have been deducted 9pts, due to fielding suspended player in losses at Edinburgh South on Saturday 9th March; Bo'ness Athletic on Tuesday 19th; and to Easthouses on Saturday 23rd. Had already been relegated by now, but drops them to bottom on 3pts, below Newburgh.

Burnieman
First ever visit to Whitestone Park today for the Peebles Rovers game, who eventually claimed a deserved 2-1 win, attendance of about 35. A real shame if this venue is consigned to history. Yes it isn't fenced in, and their changing rooms are miles away, but it's a fantastic setting. Has to be a solution rather than another 3g cage which seemingly is the alternative.
