The clubhouse at Meadow Park seems to be open most saturday's now, you could have went there and relived the beatings you took down there over the years.

Cupar Hearts visiting newly Couper-less Vale. Should have postponed his retirement purely for the headline
ekok
Hope the local boozer is open. EK played Abbey Vale a couple of years ago and was told it would be open if the owner could be bothered. He wasn't and it didn't.

Final Score at Maryfield Abbey Vale 0-5 Cupar Hearts. Not a good day for the South. Knee it would be tough for Vale. To lose 5-0 to an ammie team as a Tier 6 Champion does not look good for the SOSFL
bobbydazzler
a pumping by an ammy team even if they are the ammy champs is certainly not a good look

They held their own against a Tier 9 WOS team were narrowly beaten and Tier 9 team on top for most of game. Ah well onto Rd 2 and hopefully better times.

You'd be better going to Kirkcudbright or Gatehouse to find a pub. I’m guessing the early stop is to let the players get a bit of lunch. Probably on the same bus as the fans.

Guest
Ah well Prelim Round 2 this Saturday. 5 SOS teams in action, all west of Dumfries funnily enough. 4 at home within 20 odd miles of each other. Saints host Dalkeith who are sitting 9th in EOS Div 2. Further along the 75 Creetown host their first ever Big Scottish tie welcoming Whitehill Welfare 7th in EOS Div 1. A wee bit further west a right turn at the roundabout will take you to Newton Stewart at home to Luncarty who are plum last in 16th place of the EOS Premier. A left turn at the roundabout will see you at Wigtown&Bladnoch who entertain the invading Ayrshire hordes from Auchinleck, 14th in the WOS Premier. The sole away match up sees Dalbeattie head up to South Lanarkshire to Carluke who occupy 9th in Div 4 of WOS. Good fortune to all. Will pick through the bones over the weekend. Guest
Might be of interest to any anoraks attending Castle Cary on Saturday for Creetown's historic day. A wee programme to commemorate the occasion.

Star win by a few goals. Newton Stewart in both pre season and normal season have been playing with a confidence and some panache. If NS can completely forget last weekend feel they have a chance. However Luncarty should have ehough for a narrow win. Creetown again have started the season confidently and have a good team setup. If Creetown don't become overwhelmed by the occasion a close contest should ensue. Fancy Creetown to sneak a win. W&B before last weekend's visit by Nithsdale were doing better than expected. Hoping they can at the very least give Talbot a game. A Talbot win and if they score early I fear a goalfest could be the order of ths day. Saints are in a massive transition and overhaul after ditching the central belt experiment of last season. Minor improvements since season start and players and staff should just enjoy the day. Dalkeith to win comfortably unfortunately. So 2 out of 5 for me.

Talbot could have had 20. Hit the wood 4 times missed a penalty and young keeper had some decent saves. Wigtown offered nothing.
