Tell you who I feel sorry for. The PA guy who is contractually obliged to ask us 'to please show respect for the anthem of tonight's opponents'.

Every other game, not necessary. Tonight's game, quite pointless.

And aye, I know it's probably a recording.

Liechtenstein got a thorough booing.  For having the same tune.

Square goes and red cards aw o'oer the shop or what's the point?

This is the biggest difference in this squad now, we're better than having to kick them about for 90 minutes and hope to hang on.

Play them off the park Scotland.

Toy with them so badly they not only sack Southgate, but they set up a think tank to figure out why they're now so bad.

Don't know why the other 'home' nations aren't having a wee word in the English ear and suggesting that as Scotland & Wales have got their own anthem then maybe England should follow suit & stop using the UK/GB anthem as their own. I suggest they use 'Jerusalem' , though that might show up our own effort for the tedious dirge it is.

They have Land of Hope and Glory at the Commonwealth Games, don't they? That or Jerusalem would work.

Will also have to have a word with Northern Ireland.

Danny Boy for them. Would probably mean we have the worst of the four home nations anthems, but having by far the best football team would make up for that.
