We would have lost points against better sides, luckily we were playing a mediocre Hibs and an absolutely awful Dundee. Pre game I was worried about our defence but Taylor and Gogic, in particular, were tremendous. Unusually Strain didn’t look his normal self today - is he carrying an injury? Big different we scored 2 goals but they only scored 1 goal. Is there a away support who makes less noise than Ross C ? Maybe the way Robbo’ has us set up means that at 2-0, we don’t exactly retreat into our shell, but we sure as hell look like we don’t know whether to stick or twist. Having said that, the 2022/23 and so far, the 2023/24 St Mirren doesn’t look like a team who shit their pants when the going gets tough. We look like we know what we’re doing. I no longer have the fear that somehow, we’ll find a way to fcuk things up… the St Mirren way, if you will. Not any longer. No, not for me, the pessimism. Knowing that Carson would be watching I wonder if Langfield arranged with Hemming that he'd give him a false signal (dive to the right) if Dundee won a penalty.
