I was under the impression that they were both still out. Again the back 5 might be an option, i.e. put both Considine and Parker on the left and hope that between them they give us enough cover.

I agree though if Brown is fit he'll play there. James Brown vs James Brown.

This was the update before last weeks game.

Quote

“Callum Booth has a back spasm,” he reported. “He was meant to play at the weekend but could hardly walk.

“He’s been on painkillers. It depends how it settles down.

“Ali Crawford is a recurring calf problem. He tried to run and felt it.

“That could be two, three weeks or maybe more.

“James Brown felt his calf at the weekend. He’s a big doubt for Saturday.

Unsure if things have changed but both should be available.

Feels like MacLean calling out players who never play because of constant niggles didn't have the required affect...

Think he said in his press conference during the week that both Booth and Crawford are a couple weeks away, though he could’ve just been lumping them together. Didn’t mention Gallacher either though.

If he had a back spasm that bad he won't be back in a week, even with drugs and physio, IMO.

We're not getting any points this month. But to be fair to McLean, even if he'd kept the 17 players he got shot of I don't think that would be any different.

Bite your hand off for a 0-0 today.

Both players incredibly fortunate they can skive off in their 30s thanks to the previous manager handing them 3yr deals.

Sick and tired of the squad being a shambles because folk are off with "niggles".

Another bare squad to pick from, another defeat, another round of "MACLEAN NEEDS SACKED" from every corner.

No idea what that formation is. Who is on the right?

Think its 4-3-3 again

Mitov

Olufunwa - McClelland - Gordon - Considine

Phillips - McGowan - Ballantyne

Smith - May - Carey

Probably see Smith and Carey swapping sides during the game too.

Gallacher injury is very concerning. There needs to be some sort of urgent appraisal of our training methods and what is going on here. Over such a long period of time, this isn’t just a case of bad luck.

That defence looks absolutely terrifying, so I’m glad we’re playing against Jordan White and his friends today.

Just now, Center half said:

I think a three at the back , McGowan in front. A 5  Diamond in Midfield and May up front himself.

Confused me writing it so should confuse RFC.

Did wonder if it’s maybe a 5-2-3 with Carey on the left. Think that terrifies me even more than the 4-3-3
