How exactly do these mobs go about looting from McDonalds? Are they literally jumping behind the counter and helping themselves to Big Macs from the shelves?

They can have all the raw McNuggets they want. That'll show them.

I was in London on Sunday and popped into one of those Sainsbury metro type shops. The cashier said that she was a bit shaken as a group of guys had walked in earlier and basically just helped themselves to stuff. She said it happens on a regular basis.

I wasn't aware either OF team was playing a friendly in London at the weekend?

Isn't that how supermarkets work?

Briefings have been provided to managers that its officially burst. If an office can close it will close type stuff. I believe stuff will start to hit the media soon about the scale of it all. But some of the confirmed stuff already in the press is that traffic cover overnight will be 2 cars in Glasgow, so if there is a fatal crash in Inverness or the need to provide a fast escort to an ambulance carrying a dying child there will be no one to help.

return of five and drive being the norm then?

I live not far from a real shithole area and a few years ago there was some really deep snow and the local Lidl was looted. I went along to watch it.

Folk who have never worked a day in their life summoning superhuman strength to drag wheelie bins full of custard creams up the road.

"What was I thinking?  I never want to see another custard cream for as long as I live!"

I mean thats the thing, its not even just dealing with crime, its the other preventative stuff it brings. If you have no one to help get ambulances to hospitals (this is common) or pursuits etc or deal with fatal collisions then the country becomes a more dangerous place to live.

They're stealing the crayons and colouring in sheets.

Given what is being briefed to police officers in Scotland this week, cuts on an absolutely massive scale, dont be too surprised if this starts happening in our towns soon too.

I think we are already starting to see a huge escalation of issues with young people and the cuts you are discussing will add fuel to it. Prevention wise as much as anything else.

I would be surprised if we don’t see it in places tbh.

The decimation of youth groups, other essential and charitable services, increasing levels of poverty and  the myriad of issues from COVID such as no education etc etc seems to have caused an upsurge in disorder/violence in certain  areas - obviously just speaking anecdotally as opposed to factually.

I watched a guy steal 2 pairs of sunglasses from Specsavers in Dingwall a couple of weeks ago. Could have been the precursor to this.

Sunglasses in Dingwall?  C’mon!

Yes I agree its very much happening. I would never advocate smacking a child or whatever, but there is a clear sign that there is a large number of kids growing up just now who have never heard the word no or a bit of discipline.
We have massive amounts of kids in the city centre causing problems every weekend and there is no money available for diversionary activities, indeed all there is is cuts.
