Bestsinceslicebread
The First preliminary Round of the Scottish Cup has been played yesterday and the 3 results are Carnoustire Panmure 1 Beith 2 Luncarty 3 Loch Ness 1 Abbey Vale 0 Cupar Hearts 5 Beith and Luncarty were expected although Beith tie was a tricky one. Cupar Hearts are in the Scottish Cup due to winning last seasons Scottish amateur cup but to be fair I didn't have a clue who would win this, although Abbey Vale who won the league last season and came 3rd previous season they haven't got off to a good start in the SOSFL Beith have Bonnyton in the next round Cupar have a hard one away to Jeanfield Swifts while Luncarty are away to SOSFL leaders Newton Stewart. Ties to be played on the 2nd Sept. Looking forward to a cracking tournament and hoping to see many Tier 5 and below teams do well in the Scottish Cup

Personally I hope the LL teams who voted in the B teams get ripped a new one in this and every other competition.

the chimp
Very good result for Beith especially when you consider they had Danny o neill sent off after about 25 minutes with the score at 0-0

Serious question here why are Talbot losing good players ( club legends ) and not signing top quality to replace them ? Where has the huge money in Scottish senior cup ties gone?

I miss the Irvine Times, every half decent East or North Region team were always "cracks" when you drew them in the Scottish.

A lot of money has been invested in the pitch, the surrounds and floodlights. Most of the players that left their best days were behind them with the exception of Taylor Stafford & Mason. Talbot not willing to pay the crazy money the better players are looking for basically.

Black Pennel
You could always read the thread on the "cup" section of the forum... https://forum.pieandbovril.com/topic/287909-scottish-cup-202324/page/5/#comments Apparently Claggan Park is already in use on that date. hague
No way the board should accept this why should we have to travel another 200 miles to suit those clowns who let their ground out to another sport.
