The Mo v Edinburgh City

Recommended Posts

Feeling much better about things after 2 decent away victories in last 2 games.  Hopefully carry this on in to this home match on Saturday and pick up 3 more points.

Team are playing much better football in the 'post-McAllister era', actually decent on the eye rather than the lump to Rory for a head flick strategy

Excellent first half, especially Thomson's second goal: a great solo run. That said, Edinburgh were absolutely awful defensively in the first half.

We definitely lost the bit between the teeth as the game wore on and the points were secured. But a solid win.

Good to see Steeves back.

Excellent  performance in the first half.  A significant difference in the way we played in terms of passing and intensity now that Rory Mac is no longer there.  There is an arguement that substitutions were made too early which allowed Edinburgh on to the score sheet but the 3 points were always staying at LP.  It may well be that giving so many players a run is more important in the long term.  Well done lads.

Pleasing and deserved 3 points. 4-0 up at your break without being outstanding, edinburgh are woeful at the back. Good to get Steeves back for an hour or so and some more minutes for Masson and Callaghan. A goal for Lyons as well will give him more confidence.  Big Aidan looked good as well, he was missed when he went off

Murray Thomson looks a class player, his second goal evidence of that. Second half a bit of a non event for us with the job done. Can imagine the management team will not be happy about conceding the 2 goals from corners

That'll do nicely. Fair play to the handful of away fans backing that mess - the last visiting side I saw wearing black and red stripes were Clyde last season, and it was hard to tell the difference between both shambolic back lines.

We had much better shape, Lyons getting back on form, and a couple of well worked goals. Can forgive some of the second half slackness. Looks more and more by the day that Rory-ball has been holding us back TBH. Next week probably a harder test and better indication of progress.

That should have read "lump the ball to Rory for him to fall down easily and claim a foul strategy"

I'm still bitter from when he played for Peterhead and Cove

Aye that must have been brutal as an opposing fan. For someone so immobile at times he can hit the deck like lightning
