Old firm defeat excuse tombola

Recommended Posts

Really get tired of the old firm excuses by their fans and the media when their teams get beat by another Scottish team!  Its total arrogance and a how dare they, that they need to find an excuse that gives them a rationale of why they were beat instead of the other team just being better on the day!

Anyway I will start off the tombola of excuses with 'it was the surface of the pitch to blame'!

Current theme from Scotlands great socialist beacon appears to be that they need to spend even more money in a market where they're already incomparably wealthier than all of their competitors.

So that's....quite something.

Their fans and pundits (who are also their fans) seem to fly into fits of rage when it's clear that the 10 other teams sometimes appear to be working that bit harder against them.  'Raising their game' as they like to say, as if the players from the 10 other teams shouldn't be allowed to try harder against Celtic and Rangers.  I've seen The Caley play against them both numerous times and you can see within about 30 seconds that certain players of ours looked like men possessed; looking like they could run all day and throwing themselves in front of shots etc, and I'm not talking about the known Celtic and Rangers fans we've had play for us over the years, I'm talking about Nigels and foreigners who obviously support neither side.

They know they have better players so have to try harder to try to not get pumped.  It's a natural human reaction.

The best rage tends to be when the team that beats one cheek then gets pumped off the other a few weeks later.

Due to the obvious preference of one cheek over the other and trying harder against the team the diddies managed to beat.

Definitely not a fluke win before reverting to type.

"They only give us 1 stand"

Both Killie and Saints have proven that NOT filling your stadium full of vile bigots 3/4 times a season not only isn't bankrupting these clubs, it's actually taking an advantage away from the arse cheeks. Being well documented now Saints top crowds are never v either of them and our average attendance has risen since the decision was made.

The ticket stuff always makes me laugh. "These diddies can't even fill their stadiums, yet they're locking out supporters". Aye nae worries, Mr Dingwall Loyal Blues supporters club, tough shit.

Clubs can dictate their allocations however they want. Most daft thing is that most of the folk complaining about clubs only giving 1 stand are almost definitely folk that don't attend games.

They just like moaning about diddy clubs and how shite Scottish fitba is. With their only contribution to the game being a sky sports subscription so they can watch their old heroes talk utter pish, "it's a tough one here for Celtic today" - nah it really shouldn't be a difficult one, that's why it's so funny watching you get pumped.
