St Mirren V St Johnstone 24th February

Recommended Posts

This game and the next game against Ross County are huge games for us, if we have any hope of catching Killie in the race for 4 th place then both are must win games.

Hopefully Mandron doesn’t have another howler of a game like he did at Livingston. It will be interesting to see if he goes with 2 up front given our strong home form, and the importance of winning.

Fully expect Ayunga to replace Mandron if fit.

Mandron is a better centre forward than Ayunga.

Mandron has led the line well of late and almost all of our wins this season have came with him in the lineup.

Perth Saints will be well organised Levein teams always are. Home game for us should see us over the line. After Saturdays game I would think our strikers have been putting in extra training sessions in front of goal I hope so.

The RC -Liv game on Saturday will have a big bearing I think. If RC beat Livvy , theyve got enough about them to turn us over again too !

As absolutely honking as he was on Saturday, I still agree with this.

This should be a routine win for a decent St Mirren side if they turn up on the day.

St Johnstone might look organised and have a decent shape but that'll disintegrate if we fall behind (as happened in October) and we really do offer so little going forward.

Main hopes for the day are getting parked easily and not having to stand for 90 minutes.

Watch our for those sneaky Renfrewshire Council b*****ds who fire out traffic wardens around the ground for a few hours every other Saturday to boost their grubby coffers.

I agree Mandron is better but feel Robbo will change it after the weekend.

I would keep Mandron in thd starting 11 but we do play striker roulette

We did turn up on Saturday against a poor Livingston side, but couldn't score for love nor money.

The fact that we're at home should improve things, but as long as we continue to miss absolute sitters, you have a chance of taking something from the game.

To be honest that’s everyone’s fear as well. Why would they?

But in fairness to the Brown’s, they’re well aware of the possibility of buyers with the wrong intention coming in and asset stripping the land round about the ground etc, so we have to trust them.

Whoever it eventually is, it’s hard to imagine things are going to improve on what we’ve had for most of the past 40 years. End of a massive era in the club’s history when it happens.

If Mandron is dropped from the team, particularly for Ayunga which would be madness, we’ll lose. Or Olusanya for that matter. The only one of the front 3 who stands to drop out would be Scott most likely for Jamieson. Baccus and Bolton should probably be in line for getting back in the team.
