St Mirren V St Johnstone 24th February

Recommended Posts

St Mirren fans understand why nobody could be arsed going to this yet?

Almost will us to lose just so this pathetic, cowardly, set up isnt justified in the mind of the manager, and that these shitehawk players dont somehow slither into next seasons plans.

LJ probably playing as well as I've seen him

Its not hard to play well against us. We simultaneously sit deep and defensive and leave huge gaps around our defence.

A lot of disinterested Saints players. A lot not good enough as well.

Thank f**k I’m not the only one thinking this.

There is no actual plan here for how Saints intend to build an attack. Playing with a defender who is best at LCB on one wing and a one footed left back on the right is just nonsensical.

Shoehorning players into the shape rather than playing a shape that suits the players. Where have we seen that before?

HT 1-0
Fair reflection, we haven't played great but we've certainly been the better team.
Nice bit of fortune about the goal, long ranger from Mandron, took a deflection I think, saved on to the post by the keeper, then hits his back and roles in. Oggie, lovely.
Saintees not offered much of anything. Three points on a plate here if we can keep the heed second half.
That midfield duo of Kwon and CBM working well. That's who should start every game between now and end of season if fit.

That attack there highlighted the issue. Kerr Smith drives out of defence and plays Gallagher in down the right. All that’s asking for is a ball whipped across first time. Instead he has to check back and cant get a decent cross in.

Levein might point to the fact we’ve not given up a real clear chance as some kind of success. But that goal is exactly the type you give away when you invite pressure on and don’t put any on at the other end yourself. It’s a deflection and a ricochet back off the keeper and it is very unlucky, but St Mirren have been miles ahead of us here and fully deserve to be ahead.
