Bit of excitement in this match.

Subbed why?  Can't have been that bad surely.

Injured, presumably wanted to play on and was overruled. He'd done his man and got crosses in a couple of times as well as cutting in and pulling off a great save, Muirhead and Quitongo have also gotten in behind once each, but overall we've not been good.

We look tidier in the final third than usual, which probably says more about Arbroath than us, but we're the usual riot of the last two months defensively. Could easily have ended up 1-0 down between French and Baird vanishing when they go down our right several times.

An open but poor quality game between two teams visibly low on confidence after recent form. Arbroath had some concerted spells of pressure to score though I think we probably had more chances in total across both halves. The difference early in the second half was caused by improved decision-making to exploit openings that were present throughout.

Precious little for either team to take from that going forward. We just need to consolidate our position and take a ruthless approach to the squad going forward. Other than Quitongo, none of the many players whose jacket should be on a shoogly peg made a case today.

You try so hard VT.

Then use phrases like "going forward".

Perhaps you should try harder and your 'contributions' wouldn't be so utterly irrelevant.

I'm not the one using buzzwords to come across as intelligent.

Tedious dirge on the pitch - but a somewhat poignant visit to Gayfield for me today. I'll really miss it. Chatting to a few Lichties fans over a pint after the game, and their conscensus was that having the opportunity to press the 'reset' button and re-group over the summer is not necessarily a bad thing. The lads were all scunnered (obviously) but hopeful that the combination of having a fully-fit squad, along with some much-needed changes elsewhere will see a much stronger Arbroath side out on the pitch next season. Fair play to them for showing such optimism in the face of disappointment. All the best for next season.

He got injured earlier but seemed ok and had the beating of our right back. As does Qitongo…

His face showed that he looked to be in some discomfort when he came over to take the corner shortly before being substituted. Felt it was the right decision to take him off rather than risk more serious injury.

Limping at full time, suggest it was the correct decision
