He’s a fantastic finisher but fucking hell look at the size of the guy compared to the other players on the park at this level, he looks like one of the older boys at fives who you can tell was a player in his day but now can no longer move. So the fullbacks have little space to run onto, the wide midfielders are staying wide and the central midfielders both want to sit deep. Shankland left up front on his own. Nobody willing to make that attacking run into space for a ball forward. Nobody playing with any pace. It's stodgier than a deep fried pizza. This cant be the best available. It's absolutely woeful. Hopefully the fact all three of our opponents will “fancy it” against us, means that some of the crisp passing on display will have much more chance of getting an end product.
