It's scripted ain't it - us performing underwhelmingly and Ingerlund going on to win the whole thing.

The above being wrong is pretty much the only comfort in every failed Scotland campaign.

VAR see Armstrong with a fistful of the Hungarian defender's shirt.

They aren't going to give hime the benefit of the doubt over their legs clashing.

He grabs his shirt after he's had his leg taken from him. It's surely natural to grab on to something when you're falling?

f**k this "oooh it's all structural" patter. Our players are better than the Hungarians. Our youth national teams are great. The manager and coaches have led us into this 100%.

Wit?

We just don’t do tournaments. No doubt there’ll be some talk about getting experience and learning from past events but that’s just platitudes. We never learn.

Shearer pissing himself as Moyes said 'we were all looking forward to the Scotland fans being here for a few more... weeks'.

Fair play to him. He's managed to hide his joy well and deserved that wee smirk.

The one's calling for Moyes are aware of why he lost his last job, aren't they?

Because West Ham fans are delusional after he delivered their first trophy since nineteen canteen and their most successful period in four decades?

Consistently get good results at u-17, 16 etc levels. It's when we get to U-21s we suddenly stop developing.

We don’t though. At all.

Give Clarke some credit. He nullified Hungary's counter-attacking game by not attacking. Tactical master-stroke that will be studied at SFA coaching courses for years.

Brilliant take on the game 😄😄

The players are not good enough, just like the last tournament, just like France 98 , nothing has changed.

Technically and athletically inferior to every other team at the tournament.

He may have been onside but it was right on the edge and certainly not a 'mile onside'.

We talk in hyperbole in football. It's not that close = miles onside.

And it's not that close.
