If the SG still have restrictions in place, surely we can't have groups of people all turning up at polling stations at one time? Legislation has been passed allowing it to be moved or done all-postal. Returning Officers have said that it's far too late to do it all-postal now, that processing required couldn't be done in time - especially with their staff working from home too. Opposition parties are in favour of delaying but SG have said they're not making a decision yet and are aiming for normality if possible. But with nobody able to campaign and knock doors it might be unfair to hold it in May.
DeeTillEhDeh
I like how the BBC has 2 hyperlinks to the same "Who is Richard Leonard?" page. Sort of emphasises how shit he was.
DeeTillEhDeh
Gordon Brown may not be without his faults but there aren't many politicians of his calibre in the UK. I would argue that the UK would be in a far better position with him as PM managing the pandemic than the clowns currently in Westminster. Given that I'm not a Scottish Lab voter, not entirely sure why I'm defending him. This is the same Gordon Brown who oversaw the deregulation of the banking system in the UK that was one of the drivers of the Credit Crunch?
DeeTillEhDeh
Gordon Brown is the most overrated political figure in the UK. A youthful socialist, he and many of his Labour contemporaries soon sniffed the career coffee and became a fully paid-up Atlanticist. He bankrolled Blair's illegal war in Iraq and struck a grubby deal to enable him to become an UNELECTED Prime Minister. Since being papped out he's tried in vain to become Scotland's conscience. A superannuated fud, of appeal only to Archie MacPherson and a few elderly acolytes. So what do you really think about him?

It's like Barcelona trying to turn around their recent troubles by signing Pep Guardiola to play centre mid.

This is the same Gordon Brown who oversaw the deregulation of the banking system in the UK that was one of the drivers of the Credit Crunch? Yes. Hence the reference to his faults. He was also one of the only world leaders in 08/09 who didnt completely brick themselves at the crisis and at least came up with a response. He also admitted the deregulation was a mistake. As I said, not entirely sure why Im defending him. You can say he was shite, but the current crop of Labour politicians are, in the main, watery, wet farts in comparison.

Don't see why, they've got the electoral roll computerised so all they have to do is send it to the printers. They'll have to order more paper and ink in but there's 4 months till the election. Only people raising it so far as I can see are Unionist hacks, not surprising looking at the polls.
