That could easily fit into Plato's philosopher king model. One of the problems with assigning the label "fascist" to any set of policies, preferences or beliefs is that there's no real definition. The closest to a manifesto is a pamphlet "by" Mussolini that's about 2/3 impenetrable waffle (at least in translation). To my mind, the main characteristics are Nationalism, rule by the strong and militarism. I remember there being a strong whiff of social darwinism but it's a while since i read it. There's a fair bit in there about accomodating the church too. The context wasn't, like the communist manifesto, a programme for society, it was a justification after the fact as to why rule by armed thugs was in fact fine. It's completely incoherent. Theres nothing republican about this guy, he fully believes in dictatorship of the smartest people on society and believes that the bureaucratic pressures associated with democratic systems makes them suboptimal compared to a self-governing group of experts just imposing their will on the country. In very simple terms, his preference is for the House of Commons to be abolished and political parties to be banned. The House of Lords would continue to sit as a much smaller group of cross-bench peers who would have absolute power to implement policies of their choosing and to vote new members into the chamber. Ideologically though, his preference would be for that chamber to implement fairly boring centrist policy ideas. He identifies as a fascist but not in the Hitler/Mussolini type sense.

Plato’s republic was in opposition to democracy. What you’ve said he fully believes is pretty much the original definition. It’s not the same as what American Republicans want, but sounds a lot like Chinese republicanism. The only real sense of fascism is in the Mussolini sense. Nazism isn’t true fascism but is kind of, as was Franco. Something that’s unlike Hitler or Mussolini’s regimes is not fascism. It’s something else.

Because the posts come over as a poor political satire crossed with a teenage reading of Ayn Rand. If it is genuine I hope you can kinda debate him out of such wild takes. Still chuckling at the "not in a Hitler/Mussolini type" of fascism, though.

tamthebam
Is Nigel Farage a fascist ? I think he's a Combined United Nationalist Thatcherite Is the Conservative Party no longer Conservative ? Since the spivs took over it, yes. Is Jeremy Corbyn far left ? Not particularly but nowadays when the centre is skewed to the right he appears to be Are Lenin and Mussolini two sides of the same coin ? I've seen Alexei Sayle impersonate both of them. Are you a beige centrist ? I was.. but I seem to be a raving Trot after the centre shifted Are you a woke Marxist Globalist ? I'm a Groucho Marxist Farcist What posters have you identified as having Hitler particles ? Me when I'm in a bad mood Who on the forum will be operating the guillotine when the time comes ? @Shandon Par... that will go well for the revolution... Does it really matter and is it all just the irresistible forces of financial capital eventually crushing us all like the insects we are ? Regrets? No, it's a right old laugh isn't it?

The Black Flag
So... Is Nigel Farage a fascist ? No, he's a half idiot trying to jump on the populist bandwagon, but his legs are too short. However the UK media love him so he will be PM one day. Is the Conservative Party no longer Conservative ? Conservative Party always serves the wealthy first regardless how far to the right they go, so no. Is Jeremy Corbyn far left ? Nope, uk politics has shifted to the right, so if you stay still you end up on the left of the majority regardless if you are a soft Tory or Liberal. He's just a regular guy you'd meet down the pub who dun well in politics. Are Lenin and Mussolini two sides of the same coin ? It would have been an interesting conversation if the two had ever met, I'd think they would have had some respect for each other. Stalin on the other hand was a horrible c**t who should not have even been put in charge of a broom cupboard. Are you a beige centrist? I shake my fist at clouds too much. Are you a woke Marxist Globalist ? No I'm not a Californian feminist OnlyFans girl. What posters have you identified as having Hitler particles ? Its the quiet unassuming ones with underlying passive aggressive tones to their posts you have to watch rather than the attention seekers. You'll know the ones in the GN forum. Who on the forum will be operating the guillotine when the time comes? ''when I am king you will be first against the wall, with your opinion of no consequence at all'' Does it really matter and is it all just the irresistible forces of financial capital eventually crushing us all like the insects we are ? No, we will be all made redundant in every way by AI. Only the very wealthy and the trad Christians will continue as normal. Interactive AI porn is the nuclear bomb. Already the arts are under threat from pilfering. we are doomed. Find God quickly. Taylor Swift and a high fibre diet can't save you.
