Thiam will have a better javelin, so it's all down to whether KJT can limit her losses to something that gives her a chance to make up the deficit in the 800m. She's probably going to need to achieve a lifetime best in javelin and hope Thiam underperforms to have a realistic chance. Needed a good 200m and long jump and only managed "okay" in each. Yep, there is 13 meters between their PBs in the javelin, but only 7.5ish m on their season's best.
