Bairnardo
Na. That's firmly in the letting VAR re referee the game.
Silvio Tattiescone
'The goal should not stand'published at 19:08 British Summer Time 19:08 BST Rangers 1-0 St Johnstone Neil McCann Former Rangers winger on BBC Radio Scotland If a decision is given by the ref, the players will stop - they play to the whistle. The argument is the referee blew the whistle and gave the free-kick, I don't think it should stand.

PauloPerth
Get Kirk on for Sidibeh. Ref and var are desperate to help them and he’s on a yellow card already.

The whistle went after the ball hit the net, so “players stopping” is irrelevant.
Biscuits
If he blew the whistle before he scored then it definitely shouldn’t count. but if he didn’t the correct decision has been made
Ludo*1
Watching this on a dodgy stream with radio commentary - radio are convinced that the ref blew before the goal. That doesn't mean it's factually correct - McCann & Kevin Thomson could easily be slavering, but some of the St Johnstone players definitely stopped as if the whistle went IMO. But I think there is contact so shrug His foot also accidentally hits Dessers and he's impeded. 40 seconds before Cerny runs into Raymond who's looking the other way and it's a foul. It's not the decision, it's the fact that it's a different decision for the same incident within a minute and both go for Rangers. We had this exact same thing at Ibrox last season when Clark went in late with his studs up and got a straight red, then Souttar made an even worse challenge and never even got f**king booked.

They’ve just shown a replay on Premier that confirms the whistle went after the ball was in the net.

He is signalling for a foul before it goes in so the ref has cocked it up here. Players may have reacted on his signal.

The Real Saints
Thinking positively, none of the scouts should be particularly interested in Sidibeh based on this performance so far.
Biscuits
You could tell he was going to blow the whistle but he didn’t until it went in. Good refereeing I think

Can you show me the var rules where it states if an attacker fouls a defender you wait before blowing the whistle. You blow when the foul is made. If the refs’ made an error with the foul fair enough, but you don’t change the rules to let him away with it.

DavieCFC
Well you quite clearly saw on that replay he gestures it's a foul before the ball hits the net
