senorsoupe
So the Stanley Cup Final will be Oilers vs Panthers. One of the leagues strongest offences vs the league's toughest defence. I am hoping Edmonton can win, but realistically Florida have to be the favourites

Miguel Sanchez
Edmonton fans are eclipsed only by Vancouver as Canada's worst, so it's Florida all the way please.
RossBFaeDundee
Have lost some interest in the finals as was rooting for the Rangers this season, having watched them at MSG in November and thoroughly enjoying it. Florida looked a different animal though, just a nightmare to play against with that defence and I’m sure McDavid will come to despise them. He’ll have enough to break through one or two games but I can’t see past the Panthers for the cup.

senorsoupe
The Oilers are now 3-0 up in game 6. If they come back and win game 7 Florida would have performed the Hibsing to end all Hibsings Edited June 22 by senorsoupe

RossBFaeDundee
But they do when it matters the very most! Fair play to them, always nice to see a franchise get their first Cup (2019 not included) and the Panthers have been immense this season. Canada is left gutted again as the most inappropriate locations for hockey take their silver from them again, and McDavid's odyssey to glory is extended in heartbreaking fashion. Gotta love a Game 7.

DukDukGoose
Heavily rumoured last night that Johnny Gaudreau and his brother were killed by a drunk driver. Don't normally put substance in thing like this but that's about 12 hours with no-one in the hockey industry coming out and stating it's shite. EDIT: Now confirmed . Awful Edited August 30 by DukDukGoose
senorsoupe
Two young men cycling a couple of days before being groomsmen in their sister's wedding killed by a drunk idiot. I hope that the book gets thrown at the driver. Drinking is fine, driving is fine, but mixing the two is just not on RIP

I was going to say the demon drink has made a killer out of an ordinary man. But if he has a history of drink driving, I have no sympathy.

Investigators said Sean Higgins smelled of alcohol and admitted having five or six beers before the accident in Salem County's Oldsman Township Thursday evening, the complaint says. Higgins also allegedly said he was physically engaging in the act of drinking while driving. He said he was trying to get around two cars on County Route 551. https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/johnny-hockey-matthew-gradeau-sean-higgins-crash-oldsman-township-nj/5750647/
