Brings back memories, used to have loads of Asterix and Tintin books. They were always in the same section in the shops, was Asterix a Hergé thingy as well?

No Asterix was by Goscinny & Uderzo!!!

My favourite characters in Asterix were the pirates! Of the two heroes I prefered Obelix, Asterix himself was a bitty boring. Tintin is just appalling, old fashioned racist pulp by comparison.

Very true but I'm also pretty sure that there was a rather racist stereotype in the group of pirates!!!

Remember the "Sambo" type in the lookout tower???

But saying that he was the one who never got beaten up by Obelix!!!

1) the man with no name - nuff said

2) Bruce Robertson - bent Jambo copper in Irvine Welsh's filth

3) super hans - peep show, drug addled legend

4) Susy - Jeff's wife in Curb your enthusiasm, superb range of swearing

5) Jake the muss - once were warriors, wife beating maori nutcase

That's a great shout, he's terrifying.

The specky, pervy doctor from Green Wing also.

"You have a rubbish vagina"
