die hard doonhamer
Haven’t done this in a while, but shameless plug of my podcast incoming. Couple of big interviews in this one, the first with Scotland Women’s all-rounder Megan McColl, and the other with Cricinfo’s Peter Della Penna ahead of Scotland games in the US that start tomorrow
jaggyness
That England ODI squad looks very strong. Even without Bairstow and Stokes who would be guaranteed picks
die hard doonhamer
The squad absolutely decimates Lancashire’s T20 blast side. Balance if it looks a bit odd with 5 left arm seamers included. Scotland are currently in action in Texas. A loss and a win against the USA over the weekend, and currently struggling a bit against the UAE at 121-5 chasing 216 with 17 overs to go. Coetzer not out on 68. Chris Sole was excellent with the ball earlier, claiming 4/27 from his 9.
PB1994
Coetzer gets his 100. 179/5 so 37 needed off of 47. They’ve made very hard work of this but have done well over the last few overs to hopefully see them through. die hard doonhamer
129 ball 100 for Kyle Coetzer. Fantastic knock. 31 needed now from 43 balls, 5 wickets still in hand.
die hard doonhamer
Closed it out in the end with 4 wickets and 2 overs to spare. Coetzer unbeaten on 108.

He’s averaging just under 70 in the county championship this season, to be fair. However, he should not be there at 3 given that he hasn’t batted there for his county.

jaggyness
Indeed. It starts at 1 I was thinking someone would say that [emoji23] There's a lot of work to be done on England's batting, seeing the whole lot bowled out for under 100 is very conceivable unless they've worked miracles in the past few weeks. Stokes really has to step up with the bat now as well as he'll likely be coming in at 50/4

Pope going in at 3 means Root will be appearing at 11.15 with the score at 5/2 rather than 5/1 should NZ bowl first.
FuzzyBear
It is almost like picking your best bowlers is the way to go. Anderson got 2 already.

peasy23
Only 2 overs, but that's been a very impressive start from Potts. Hasn't wasted a ball.
peasy23
Jack Leach ruled out for the rest of the Test after landing on his head earlier, concussion protocols being followed. England can replace him, but has to be like for like.

peasy23
Parkinson time?Probably.27-5, Potts continuing a great opening spell, 2 wickets for 6 runs from 5 overs.
peasy23
I've no idea what the best ever bowling figures on debut are, but Potts has just got his 3rd wicket for 6 runs.
