Sir Tarmo
Tabraiz Shamsi absolutely running through a pathetic England side once again. Roy has done very little of note since the 2019 World Cup and along with Malan and Livingstone should be looking over his shoulder. Topley and Jordan far too expensive again, and I’m not sure what Sam ‘bits and pieces’ Curran really offers at this level. Just as the Test team turns around, the white ball team appears to be in a bit of a state approaching the T20 World Cup. Buttler can’t buy a run as captain, I hope his fortunes turn around soon.
Sir Tarmo
It’s 5 for Shamsi as England barely creep over 100 and are battered by 90 runs. Worrying signs ahead of the World T20.
peasy23
Watched the Flintoff vehicle on iPlayer where he coaches up a team of underprivileged kids from Preston who largely don't know what cricket is, it's a bit all over the place and ironically probably isn't going to convert anyone who doesn't already like cricket. The talking head shots of Flintoff are wild, he goes from having a short haircut and beard to wavy hair and clean shaven then back again, and the wee uber-ned goes from having a cast on his hand to no cast to a cast again (when they explain how it happened) within the space of ten minutes. Also I'm sure every application for funding to a local council is treated the same as one made by an ex England cricket captain for a BBC TV show... The young Afghan boy has been granted asylum.
Scorge
Scotland winning the toss and batting up in AB10. 22/23 degrees and if it wasn't for the breeze you'd think you were in the UAE.
die hard doonhamer
47 without loss after 5 overs. Very fast start from Coetzer and his new opening partner Craig Wallace.

Deck looks flat, and 300 a must IMO
Scorge
Hrmmmm. Not the greatest batting card there, lot of careless top order dismissals again. Another five overs of Leask was needed. 263 very gettable for the UAE.... Edited August 10, 2022 by Scorge
peasy23
UAE are 69-4 after 17 overs in reply.
Scorge
131/5 after 29 now. They're hovering around the rate but thankfully losing wickets. Sole's opening spell was very good and denied another off a 2nd bouncer in the over. We're marginal favourites now I think. ETA ,- 2 in 2 for Watt, lovely bowling, 151/7. If we weren't so typically sloppy at finishing off the tail this would be start the car territory... Scorge
Home win, UAE polished off for 198 with Mustafa stranded while swinging like a rusty gate. Solid overall. Aftersun lotion required stat.
Scorge
3/3, chasing nearly 300 yesterday (didn't see) and defending another slightly sub-par 255 today (did see). Watt is such a good bowler, surprised none of the T20/hit and giggle leagues ever look at him. Hopefully bag a 4/4 on Wednesday.

Left Back
That's some batting lineup England are risking. Given how fragile their top order has been over the last few years to go with 4 rabbits at the tail is brave to say the least.

And probably looking rather foolish now. 55/4 with only pope in double figures.
peasy23
And probably looking rather foolish now. 55/4 with only pope in double figures. And 116-6 when rain stopped play with Pope the last batsman left on 61. Broad at number 8? Jeezo.
die hard doonhamer
Scotland make it up to 249/8 from their 50 overs having been 31/4 and 73/5. Calum MacLeod with an unbeaten 133 becomes the first associate batsman to score 10 ODI centuries. It’s his second ton in 3 matches over the past 5 days, both of them against the USA. 250 is a tough target for the USA, particularly with this being the third game played on this pitch in the last week.
Boo Khaki
England Doubly amusing after Stokes accusing the Saffers of running their mouths.
die hard doonhamer
Scotland lose by 2 wickets to the USA, who get to the 250 target with 1 ball to spare. 15 were required from the last over, should really be winning from there. ETA: 8 games left for Scotland in CWCL2. Next up of a trip up Namibia in November to face Namibia and Nepal. We then face the same opponents in Nepal in February next year. A 50% win rate should be more than enough to top the table when all is said and done. Edited August 17, 2022 by die hard doonhamer
Boo Khaki
Keech result, but they should be able to pretty much guarantee WC qualification in Namibia come November.
