die hard doonhamer
I still think England win this, West Indies won't score much more than what England have already scored. Can see England all out and West Indies 4 or 5 down by the close.
Savage Henry
Ben Stokes is doing that thing that Ben Stokes does. Terrific entertainment. If England can somehow scrape to 300, you'd put them well on top. I can see Anderson causing havoc on this pitch.
peasy23
Would have to agree. England's troubles at 2, 3 and 5 don't look like resolving themselves any time soon though. Just as well they have Stokes, Bairstow and Moeen down the order to keep bailing them out.12th match in a row with a 50 for Root, only AB de Villiers has a longer run.

He's equalled AB now, has he not? Stokes just dropped again trying to blast to his ton.

You're right, now tied.Could all have been very different had the catches involving Root and Stokes x 2 had stuck.
Bully Wee Villa
YOU FUCKING BEARS!!!There were a good few Villa fans coming out of the away end shouting You Bears today. Walked back to the city centre, took about an hour, and by the time I sat down the final tickets had sold out. [emoji24]

Joey Jo Jo Junior Shabadoo
West Indies having a good day but magically still being an utter shambles. Dropped catches that weren't difficult and field placings for shots that have already been played. The lack of the hotspot being an interesting one. Stokes was out early(ish) but that would've been umpires call, even though he practically middled it. A ridiculous situation when the fielding team were correct not to review, even though he was definitely out.
Bobby Skidmarks
The dropped catches were so shambolic that if that was Pakistan, you'd be questioning if they were on the fix again.
Joey Jo Jo Junior Shabadoo
I can't believe what I've been watching all day. Completely unexpected. Actual Test batting from the West Indies. 4th wicket partnership nudging towards 250.

Actual Test batting from the West Indies. 4th wicket partnership nudging towards 250. Jinxed it. Braithwaite out on 134 to an excellent ball from Broad, partnership of 246.

You'll have a hard time convincing me the keeper's drop was unintentional.
peasy23
Windies reach 329-5 at the close, Shai Hope still there on 147 and a speedy 21 from Blackwood. New ball is already 12 overs old so England are going to have to start well tomorrow or the match could slip away.
Joey Jo Jo Junior Shabadoo
Watching the highlights on C5 and to the surprise of nobody Geoffrey is fucking loving it. "Proper Test Match Cricket".
peasy23
Stokes was given a reprimand for obscene language late on yesterday when Hope edged one through the slips. He has had one point added to his record which leaves him just one point short of a ban. It wasn't heard by the onfield umpires but was picked up by the stump mics.
Benjamin_Nevis
Ah, that's the Windies back to normal after a brief dalliance with actual cricket yesterday.

peasy23
Moment of madness by Blackwood to get himself run out, though tbf it was a great throw by Stokes which Bairstow dealt with brilliantly. 150 lead now. Make that 156 as Gabriel has just dispatched one from Moeen into the stands.
peasy23
England have opted to take the extra half hour before lunch to try and finish off the Windies. This is the first time in almost 3 years that the visitors have scored 400+ in a test match, 26 tests ago.
Jmothecat2
That's a pretty decent lead there. England will struggle I think. Bat as poorly as we know they can and the Windies might not even have to bat again.
