That was very pleasing. Nothing like a good old fashioned England batting collapse to warm the cockles. Brilliant captaincy by the world's greatest player.  A calm head throughout. As brilliant as England were in the first 14 overs, they were utter dugmeat after it.

West Indies had a 102 run lead after the first innings against Sri Lanka, but they are up against it now after the visitors scored 476 in their second innings. The Windies were 34-1 at the close last night so they need to score another 341 runs on the final day to get a win.

Amazing to think that 300 is more or less seen as a par score nowadays at international level. The pitch doesn't seem to be a big turner

When I were a lad, anything around 225-230 was seen as a very good 50 over score. You would never win a game with that now.
