SlipperyP
Excellent bowling. PNG up next. If we win that is that us qualified for the next stage?

Could potentially still go to net run rate. If we lose to Oman and they lose to Bangladesh then we'll all be on 2 wins.
die hard doonhamer
Anyway, what a fucking win. From 53-6 after 11 overs to that. Fantastic comeback with the bat, then a superb performance with the ball. Tremendous.

Fantastic result and performance though, against aside that is beating the big boys (and England) on a regular basis.
Jimi Shandrix
Outstanding effort to beat a test playing nation. Roll on PNG game.
die hard doonhamer
It's probably worth emphasising that Bangladesh - are the 6th ranked side in the world. - recently had series wins against both Australia and New Zealand. - were expected to absolutely stroll this group. That really is a superb victory, and will make a lot of people pay attention to us.
Ray Patterson
The biggest difference between Scotland and Ireland when the Irish became a test nation was their wins in major tournaments when Scotland would usually bottle it (think NZ in 2008, the entire 2015 WC and 2018 vs WI). That win is massive. The only way Scotland can get Test Status (which is the long-term aim for CS for the last 15 years) is by beating the big boys like Bangladesh in what was effectively a home game for them when it matters. Roll on PNG.
die hard doonhamer
Curtis Campher takes 4 wickets in 4 balls as Ireland bowl out the Netherlands for 106. Ireland currently 27/1 after 3.5 in reply.

Fuctifano
Win the toss and bat today vs PNG. Important to win, but a big win would be enormous in terms of run rate as the group could end in a 3 way tie on 4 points.

Yeah, really have to be looking for a more convincing victory than Oman had to get our nrr up substantially. I'm still hopeful we could beat Oman, and hopefully there's a Bangladeshi backlash and they hammer them.
Fuctifano
If we win then we either want any Oman win, or Bangladesh to absolutely batter Oman and destroy their NRR. But let's not get ahead of ourselves, not going to be easy especially in the afternoon heat.

die hard doonhamer
Scotland's highest partnership in T20 world cups comes to an end as Cross goes for 45. 118-3 from 14.3. Very well set, now.
Jimi Shandrix
Don't think we need to concern ourselves with net run rate after that. Just concentrate on winning the game. That score has given us a fighting chance.

die hard doonhamer
PNG 35-5 after the powerplay overs. Ideal. Hopefully we can stamp on their throats a bit and get a huge NRR bump.
PB1994
6th wicket falls. Currently 70-6. I think the game is won but it’s a great opportunity to get them bowled out sharpish.
