GAD
I would actually say that line-up is the strongest we've put out in the championship so far. You'd swap Grigg for Dunbar and maybe Swinson for R. Gray, but I think before the tournament started most people would have picked that as our strongest XV.

It is both a f**k up from world rugby and England trying to get an advantage.International sides are allowed to get refs to help during training games and ask world rugby who they want. The only rule is they can't ask for the next match ref. World rugby have said that they should have turned down Englands request for van der Westhuizen to ref the training session and he has not done anything wrong.

Will be a wee tweaking of the rules after this I would think. Van der Westhuizen might not have technically did anything wrong, but he must have known that eyebrows would be raised. The English are just c***s.
come on shire
Delighted about the return of DTH. Allowing him the chance to run at Zebre next Friday would be good. Happy with the Scotland team but a bit concerned that it came out as early as Wednesday lunchtime. Rome's a tricky place to play so I hope we're taking nothing for granted. Italy have a very strong team with Parisse at 8 and Minozzi at 15 who'll be a handful no doubt.

Scotland always seem to be one of the first to announce their team and there's no surprises in it anyway. Italy, at the moment, certainly do not have "a very strong team". Their results over the past couple of years clearly show that. Their backs have improved and they've been trying to play better rugby but they can be cut open very easily, and seem to have lost some of their dominance in the forwards. Yes, we are Scotland and yes, we are playing away from home, but anything other than a bonus point win has to go down as very disappointing. Dunning1874
The story of Italy in this tournament, Ireland aside, has been competing well and looking a real threat in the first half, but always going in narrowly behind then capitulating in the second half. Provided we manage the scoreboard well enough to go in ahead we should have no doubts about pulling away and securing a bonus point in the second half as everyone else has.

John Lambies Doos
This is a fucking disgraceful referee performance so far. I'm not one that usually gives out about refs but this is shocking
Jaggy Snake
He's just over refereeing it slightly. I wouldn't say it was much worse than that.
