peasy23
USA are currently top of the 7s series standings, but will have to do without Perry Baker for the rest of this tourney after one of the Tongans nearly took his head off earlier, leaving him with a suspected broken jaw.

peasy23
Draw for day 2 of the Sevens England ended up 3rd in their pool behind the USA and Samoa, and Wales were bottom of pool 1. Pleasing.
Joey Jo Jo Junior Shabadoo
Refs having a 'mare here. Kings should have had multiple binnings and I think he's awarded a try on the basis of an Edinburgh shirt being grounded. The ball was miles away and he was pointing at Mata's top as he was lying on the ground. TMO has reversed it now.

That card for Johnstone was a penalty the other way, and was totally inconsistent with the way he has refereed the rest of the game.
Joey Jo Jo Junior Shabadoo
Christ almighty. The ref is most definitely a c**t.

ETA: And that's only the ones he was giving. The number of dubious reset scrums has been incredible. He should have had their whole front row off for scrum infringements. The number of guys hitting rucks from 45 degrees with their shoulder was ridiculous as well.

Northsea80
Clive Woodward predicts a 5th place finish for Scotland in this years Six Nations! Might as well just chuck it now. Anyone else cautiously optimistic about it? I have a feeling we'll beat the Irish. I get that they beat New Zealand and they'll start as favourites, i just can't shake thinking that when i see these same players play for Munster and Leinster etc that they aren't that great and are essentially a team full of insufferable p***ks! Connor Murray and Johnny Sexton chief among them. A good start beating Italy and then the Irish and surely only glorious failure awaits when Scotland implode away from home.

Northsea80
It's in his column on the Daily Mail website. Predictably he has England down as his winners.
Gianfranco
France away is a big one. We always seems to do alright and are close to getting a result without ever getting one.

I'm not that optimistic to be honest. It's not just the length of the injury list that is an issue, it's the fact that so many of the injuries are in key positions in the pack. With two of our nailed on first pick back row, the lack of a big ball carrier and the fact we are a McInally knock away from playing a hooker with only and handful of professional games under their belt worries me. To be honest, I can see a 5th place finish. Hopefully though it gets more players in and integrated, then when the injured guys come back we can have a real good go at the world cup. I'd take a loss at Murrayfield if it meant beating Ireland in Japan no bother.

I can't see us winning in Paris or London, therefore 3rd is realistic. If we only take 2 of our home games then we might scrape 4th in front of Italy and France(PD).Of course , none of that changes the fact that Clive Woodward is a c**t.
