What Are You Drinking ?

At Bannerman's in Edinburgh for a gig. First off the standard JD&coke, (Pictured, 1 of 5)

Sixthly, a blended whisky called Big Peat. Made by Douglas Laing & Co. bottled exclusively for the bar (though bottles available on their online store too). Very nice, very, very strong smell.

I worked with a guy who was head hunted by what was then Miller Coors to look after their malting operations and barley breeding.

He's doing a grand job; Banquet and Miller High Life are decent beers, particularly when the supermarket does them at $6 for a 12 pack.

Cracking pub, was in there a couple of times a few weeks ago. Do they still have the Verdant - Puuuty on?

Yep, in cans.

If you're looking for some other pubs with decent beer, The Town Mouse, The Mean Eyed Cat & Wobbly Duck are very good. Beer Street and Newcastle Tap are also decent.

Aye, doing a few tomorrow,  including the free trade inn at Ouseburn.

Any pub recommendations for Leeds City centre for after The Movielife gig on Saturday?

Look up the Alley pubs in Leeds on google. A few well preserved Victorian back court pubs, all near each other. Tapped, across from the station has a great variety.
