What Are You Drinking ?

Recommended Posts

I'll look out for that Midnight Sun. Very fond of the dark stuff.

That stuff is tremendous. Curiously goes very well with biscuits and strong cheddar. Also recommend March Of The Penguins and Profanity Stout also from Williams Bros if you like the dark stuff.

Kelpie Seaweed ale is class also though not as easy to get in supermarkets.

Just drank a bottle of March of the Penguins for the first time tonight. It was really good.

I actually like Fraoch also but have never tried Kelpie. Will need to make a point of buying some next time I see it.

If anyone has been to the Porterhouse in Dublin and tried the Oyster Stout, it isn't miles away from Kelpie. There's a wee shop just over the Kelvinbridge which seems to have most of the Williams Bros range

*edit to add details of the shop.

Quel Vin (formerly Oddbins) just next to the Kelvinbridge.

Teckle place if you're into trying different beers,

Aye your right, it was a bit meh, but still not to be sniffed at.

A strong cheese always goes well with a cracking porter or stout.

I had a large lunch today so thought I'd start with some light ales.
